First Taste: Preview of Primebar, New Uptown Restaurant & Bar

Primebar opens tonight, but I caught a quick look during a private party last night. The place is glam–dark, moody corners, breezy patio, lots of hi-def tvs, friendly staff, and honeyed lighting that makes everyone look good. The main bar (there’s another one on the patio) has 40 beers on tap (including Belgium’s DT and a pear cider).

As for the food, well, the kitchen was only serving nibbles like chicken skewers, flatbreads and bar food, so I can’t guide you there…yet. But the menu is here.

Here’s a quick look.

Primebar will serve dinner and cocktails Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and lunch, dinner and cocktails Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
