The Hatch is Heading South for Texas Monthly’s BBQ Festival Sunday
By Mike Hiller
Austin is the place to be Sunday, as all the poobahs of good ‘cue turn out for Texas Monthly’s second annual BBQ Festival. Sunny skies, mild weather and a celebration of all that’s right about the red state and red meat (even though it’s in a city that’s normally all blue).
Twenty- three of the top 50 bbq joints in Texas (as anointed by TexMo’s senior editor, Pat Sharpe) will be serving ribs, brisket and sausages to a few thousand ticket holders. Snow’s BBQ will be there. Franklin Barbecue will be there. We’ll be there, too, camera in one hand, napkins in another, and — if we do it right — sauce dripping down both.
See you in ATX.
