Want to become fluent in Scotch? Here’s your chance (and it’s free)

My inbox is full of invitations to wine dinners, cocktail mixers, spirits contests and “mixology” events. Know what’s most piqued my interest (and , I hope, will pique yours)?

Sigels Elite, at 5757 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, is opening 55 different Scotch whiskeys for you to taste. Ok the real rule is that you’re supposed to limit yourself to 12 of the 55, but what’s a few extra drams among friends? Distillery reps will be there to help you complete your studies and offer discounts on purchases.

It’s from 6-8pm on Wednesday, February 22. It’s free, but you have to RSVP here so they’ll have enough hooch on hand to pique us. (Or you can let your fingers do the walking by RSVPing to Becky Petty at store01@sigels.com or calling her at 214-739.4012.
