Hot Date: Thursday, May 10, Abacus and Iron Horse Vineyard wine dinner

kent rathbun's abacus

If there’s a nicer winery owner than Joy Sterling, I’ve yet to meet her. But don’t just take my word for it–meet her and see for yourself on Thursday, May 10, when she and chef Kent Rathbun team up for a tasty spring wine dinner at Abacus with Iron Horse wines. Sterling will be pouring one of California’s iconic sparkling wines (and one of my favorites), the Iron Horse Blanc de Noir “Wedding Cuvee” from the 2007 vintage, plus four other Iron Horse wines.

Grab one of the few seats left by calling Abbey Close or Donna Tanner (the brains and the beauty who keeps the wheels rolling at Abacus) at 214-520-0151. Here’s the lineup (directly from Abacus–and I still don’t understand why Every Chef Capitalizes Every Ingredient):

Grilled Nectarine-Scallop Ceviche

California Roll, Ginger-Plum Crab Salad

Iron Horse, Blanc de Noir “Wedding Cuvee” 2007
