Cedars Woodfired Grill, health-focused restaurant, to open in Frisco

If Darden and its Seasons 52 can make healthy(ish) food taste good and have lines out the door, then maybe Cedars Woodfire Grill can ride the wave, too. Owner Randy Gier, a marathon runner, says he’ll open a second Cedars Woodfire Grill on August 6 in Frisco at 4710 Preston Road. The first CWG is located in Plano.

A company spokesmodel says CWG’s main focus is healthy, tasty plates at affordable prices.

“There are no freezers, fryers or microwaves in Cedars kitchen and all ingredients are carefully chosen and include all natural meats and fresh produce prepared daily. Salads, entrée bowls, sandwiches, and woodfire wraps are all under $10.

“Customers can get nutritional information before ordering by sending a text message to codes on the menu board.  Guests interested in low calorie, low carb, gluten sensitive, heart healthy, diabetic friendly, or fuel for athletes, are guided through their choices by a specially created brochure.  Vegetarians also have a large selection of options due to the food preparation and ingredient choices.”
