If the State Fair of Texas isn’t your fried cup of, um, stuff, then maybe the Third Annual Texas State Veggie Fair is more your style. All-vegan, all the time, the event takes place beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 21, in Reverchon Park (the same venue that held this year’s Chefs for Farmers), Maple Avenue at Turtle Creek Boulevard. Last year, 2,500 people stalked the fair. The Veggie Fair is the brainchild of DallasVegan.com’s Jamey Scott. And if you want to attend as a vendor, musician, artist or organization, you need to be “cruel-free,” says the Veggie Fair’s press release.  Entrance fee: $5 donation.
