Fort Worth celebrity cowboy chef Grady Spears has traded in his ranch for the road…literally.

“Take a look at this,” Spears told me a few days ago. “It’s my new home. It has everything, including a fireplace”

Spears, a working chef with several restaurants, cookbooks and television shows under his belt, splits his time between his current restaurant, Line Camp Steakhouse in Tolar, Texas (about 90 minutes southwest of Dallas) and Houston, where he is the official chef of Reliant Stadium and the Houston Texans.

I’ve cooked with Grady and eaten his food many times. The guy can flat-out cook, and he’s a bbq quru on the Big Green Egg. (No wonder he’s a BGE national spokesperson.)

Now the big question: Who wants to go on a weekend roadtrip with Grady and me?
