Hot Date: New One Arts Plaza Restaurant Now Called Greek, Not Meze, Opens October 15

The name’s been changed to better reflect the menu, say owners Mary and Costa Arabatzis. Greek, the restaurant not the country, will open October 15 in the space recently vacated by the Commissary.

A Greek-inspired cocktail menu  Jason Kosmas, a Greek American, designed the Greek-inspired cocktail menu.

Arabtzis says the menu will include a roasted leg of lamb sandwich with horseradish and lamb jus, a pita stuffed with Greek-spiced pork and another pita filled with thinly sliced grilled steak and balsamic onions topped with an over-easy egg.

The Greek will be open Sunday – Thursday from 11am-10pm, Friday and Saturday, 11am-12 midnight.

The Greek, 1722 Routh Street, Dallas  (214) 999-1311. Valet parking is complimentary at lunch and $5 at dinner with validation.
