Hot Date: Tuesday, December 18th is Cocktails for a Cause, benefitting sick kids through Trigger’s Toys

Sean Conner, the lead barman at Whiskey Cake Kitchen (and the North Texas Bartenders Guild), alerted us to this most worthy evening of charitable drinking. Here’s a chance to drink and get toys to kids. Just like Santa, only you don’t have to drive.

Mark Tuesday, December 18th on your calendar in bright red crayon. Twelve of Dallas’ finest cocktail masters are donating their talent to a one-night pop-up bar at St. John’s Wood, 2908 McKinney Avenue, in Dallas. Proceeds from the event will benefit Trigger’s Toys.

In the mixmaster lineup: Connor, Anthony Krencik and Bonnie Wilson (Whiskey Cake), Brian McCullough (USBG), Michael Martenson (the Cedars Social), Jason Kosmas (Marquee Texas Grill), Abraham Bell (Oak), Rocco Milano (Private Social), David Allen (Tipsy Texan), Kyle Hiila (Bolsa), and Lucky Campbell (the Chesterfield).

Don’t know Trigger or his toys? Trigger is a a cool dog dude, and so are his animal assistants. Sean Connor writes that Trigger’s Toys is a charity “that provides toys and therapy items to all area hospitalized children through the use of Trigger and Animal Assisted dogs like him within local area hospitals, as well as children in need, as result of disaster and family trauma for the purpose of fostering happiness, emotional well-being, and an appreciation for their community’s commitment to their growth.”

EscapeHatch is on board. So is Glazer’s and the North Texas Bartenders Guild. Hope you are, too. Santa will be so proud.
