Cane Rosso VPN Pizza Opening In Fort Worth

Jay Jerrier is taking his VPN pizza to Fort Worth, and this newest Cane Rosso is going to roost in a permanent location in a former gourmet grocery store at 815 West Magnolia Avenue.

“Here we go again,” Jerrier wrote on his Facebook wall Wednesday after announcing the site. The new Cane Rosso joins three siblings: the original Cane Rosso in Deep Ellumm a recently opened Cane Rosso in the Lakewood neighborhood of Dallas, and a New York style pizzeria in Oak Cliff, Zoli’s, which opened August 6.

According to Bud Kennedy, “the Magnolia Avenue location is a new, contemporary space on a prominent corner at Lipscomb Street. Ryan’s Fine Grocery, which included a kitchen, dining room and patio dining, had been open only a few months when it closed in July.”

Jerrier is importing a wood-fired oven from Naples to cook Cane Rosso’s thin crust, VPN-certified pizzas. The Fort Worth Cane Rosso will open once renovations are complete and the oven has been installed, says Jerrier.
