Nibbles: Fuzzy’s Tacos opens in Las Colinas, Veritas snags a Coravin, sneak a peek at Tim Byres and Daniel Vaughn on Bizarre Foods TV

Fuzzy’s Tacos opened a ginormous Las Colinas taco shop on Sunday. Hours are 7 a.m. till midnight every day. The restaurant occupies an old Shell service station on the southwest corner of MacArthur Blvd. and SH 114. (The covered patio has ceiling fans, a large bar and no hint of the gas pumps that used to stand there.)

Veritas Wine Room is getting a Coravin, the inert-gas gadget that allows you to extract wine from bottles without removing the cork or oxidizing the remaining wine. “Our by the glass program just got kicked up a notch,” writes Veritas co-owner Bradley Anderson on Facebook.

Sneak Peek chef Tim Byres’ and BBQ Snob Daniel Vaughn’s appearance on Bizarre Foods, where Byres and host Andrew Zimmer roast a cow head in an underground oven at Chicken Scratch, and Vaughn takes Zimmern to Odom’s Bar-B-Que.
