Tim Byres’ Smoke Restaurant opens Plano sibling tonight

Smoke Restaurant, an early Dallas F2T advocate that favors wood-fired cookery, opens its Plano sibling tonight. The restaurant has been under development for many months.

Chris Zielke, Chris Jeffers and Tim Byres have tried to capture the magic of their original Smoke in Oak Cliff in the new 7,500 square foot space that formerly housed Tony Roma’s, Sfuzzi and, most recently, Snuffers.

The Plano Smoke features a J&R wood-fueled smoker and grill, the focal point of the kitchen.

In addition to Smoke, Zielke, Jeffers and Byres created and own Bar Belmont, Chicken Scratch and The Foundry, all in the O.C.

The new Smoke won’t initially be taking reservations and will be serving a limited menu. Questions? Give them a call at 972-599-2222.
