Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine to open in Plano with menu from Tre Wilcox

A new restaurant opening in Plano in January has chef Tre Wilcox’s imprint all over it. To be called Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine, Wilcox will serve as the culinary director.
Billed as “a celebration of Southern life and hospitality, Julia Pearl melds classic Southern cuisine with modern culinary techniques to create familiar dishes with bold flavors.”
The planned menu includes “deviled eggs topped with crispy chicken skin, pomegranate-red pepper glazed pork belly, soups, salads and entrees, like the smoked brisket plate, grilled bone-in pork chop and oven roasted lemon pepper redfish.”
“With an open layout featuring a range of materials including exposed bricks, wood and leather, Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine boasts 6,000 square feet of space, complete with a main dining room, private dining room and a spacious bar showcasing a vast selection of local beers and craft bourbons. The warm and hospitable environment is perfect for relaxing with family and friends for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch. Local art will adorn the walls to complete the atmosphere as diners linger over good food and good drinks,” says a press release.
“We’re excited to bring our vision to a reality and to open the doors of Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine,” says Darcy Dudley, President of Trending Restaurant Group. “With our distinct brand of Southern-inspired cooking and hospitality, we’re confident that our concept will resonate with area diners and we’re looking forward to making new friends over great meals.”
