Kenichi to close, but owners will open new concept, Musumé, adjacent to Stephan Pyles Flora Street Cafe in Dallas Arts District

Victory Park and Kenichi are parting ways. The sushi restaurant has not renewed its VP lease and will soon close, but owner Josh Babb says he’s already regrouping with a new Asian concept called Musumé, which will occupy a Arts District space near Stephen Pyles’ Flora Street Cafe.

Babb told EscapeHatch several weeks ago that Musumé will have an Asian flair and not offer a restyled version of Kenichi. He’s forecasting a late fall opening for Musumé.
