Trinity Groves abruptly shutters its most acclaimed restaurant

<p>One of Dallas' best Spanish wine lists and a stellar selection of sherries, Spanish beers and cidras have been ripped from the planet.

Omar Flores, the chef and co-owner of Casa Rubia, told EscapeHatch that the Trinity Groves restaurant would permanently close following dinner service last night. He noted that he'll miss the restaurant, which received nods from EscapeHatch and plenty of other food writers and restaurant critics.

That means no more toasted fideos. No more charred Spanish octopus. No more paellas.

What's next? Plenty, says Flores. He's opening another Whistle Britches, slated for this fall in the Shops at Willow Bend, and he has a few other secret projects in the works.
