New seafood restaurant called “The Keeper” headed to Plano from the folks behind The Ranch at Las Colinas, Ida Claire, Whiskey Cake, 60 Vines

Dallas, your edge is slipping. Great restaurants are headed outside your loop, opening in Plano, Frisco and parts further north. Now I’ve been green-lighted to reveal that the folks behind Legacy Hall food hall, Whiskey Cake Kitchen, 60 Vines, Velvet Taco, Mexican Sugar, Ida Claire and The Ranch at Las Colinas have emerged from their think tank with yet another new concept.

“The Keeper will bring really good, really fresh seafood to Plano this summer,” says Judd Fruia, one of developer FrontBurner’s director of operations. “The flavors will be influenced by the Pacific Rim, and the restaurant will feature an open kitchen, a large craft-cocktail tiki bar that emphasizes rum drinks, and a big patio.”

The Keeper is under construction next to Mexican Sugar in the Shops at Legacy.
