City Works Eatery & Pour House to debut in Frisco on August 16 with 90 tap beers, duck nachos, two-story patio

A new, two-story, 13,000 sf restaurant and sports bar with a second-story patio, huge television screens pumped up with sports, 90 draft beers and duck nachos is set to debut in Frisco on August 16.

Called City Works Eatery & Pour House (3680 The Star Blvd.), it’s part of a family of City Works restaurants in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Miami.

City Works also says 40 percent of its draft mentu will be from area breweries, including 4 Corners Brewing, Deep Ellum Brewing, Rabbit Hole Brewing, Community Beer Co., and Revolver Brewing.

City Works is way into percentages. They say “98 percent of the menu is made from scratch.” Hmmm. I guess the Slim Jim stir stick in ther Churchill Bloody Mary topped with a 6-item grilled shrimp skewer must be part of the other two percent.

The menu runs that gamut from duck confit nachos to mushroom flatbreats to burgers. pork chops, salmon and smoked ribs.  Weekend brunch (this is DFW) swings with Stuffed French Toast with Baileys Irish cream cheese, vanilla bean ice cream batter, mixed berry compote and powdered sugar. Wow, that two percent adds up fast, doesn’t it?
