Quincy’s Chicken Shack is no longer clucking in Coppell

Local yardbirds can keep on clucking, but not at Quincy’s Chicken Shack. The family-friendly fried chicken roost in Coppell has closed up shop.

Owner Jason Boso confirmed the closure, adding that the restaurant with down-home, rustic seating and straw-strewn floors didn’t fully resonate with Coppell diners. Even a menu redo from chef Graham Dodds wasn’t able to sway customers to Quincy’s.

For now, Boso says the space will remain open as a special events venue and has already booked groups of 100-150 people.

Boso offered no word on the future of a Quincy’s that’s slated for Grandscape at The Colony.
