Next time you’re at the Dallas Galleria, put Grill on the Alley on your list

Thirteen years ago, may of us were delighted when SoCal favorite Grill on the Alley opened a Texas location at the Dallas Galleria shopping center. The Grill and the Galleria were both riding steady waves of business then.

Neither place comes top-of-mind much anymore, unless you happen to work in one of the nearby towers or overnight in one of the adjacent hotels.

We’re happy to report that the Grill on the Alley is still a lively, solid restaurant choice, especially if you find yourself at the Galleria and want a sexy place to sip a martini or need to meet a business client to work out a deal. If the bar is crowded (I hear it always is), the dining room has a nice mix of tables and four-top booths with plenty of privacy and attentive servers who know how to make you feel cared for.

We popped in earlier this week and left happy. Though no one sensible will tell you Grill on the Alley ranks among the top steakhouses in a city known as the King of Steakhouse Cities, the setting is top-notch and if you choose wisely (put the ahi poke and the wagyu carpaccio on your list), you’ll be off to a good start.
