Cotes du Coeur: New Fundraising Record for American Heart Association

The party may be over, but the impact of Cotes du Coeur is just beginning.

According to Nancy Wolff, Executive Director of the Dallas American Heart Association, Cotes du Coeur grossed $2,068,828 for the event year, a 15% increase over last year.

Here is a fundraising breakdown:

  • Live Auction, $284,000
  • Silent Auction, $208,181
  • Open Your Heart $385,514

The money raised by Cotes du Coeur will help the AHA in its mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.  More Americans die of heart disease and stroke than any other cause each year, and all of us have been affected in some way.

I can’t think of a better way of being a life saver than drinking great wine and eating food prepared by top chefs.  The sum of all the different events–the Big Bottle Party, the Chef Announcement Party, the Catalogue Preview Party, Tete du Cuvee, the Grand Tasting, the Gala–is an incomparable experience.

And there’s always next year!
