Dallas’ Ritz-Carlton Receives Five Diamonds
<p>Here’s Dean Fearing, star chef of Fearings at the Mansion. Why is he smiling? Because he helped his hotel win Five Diamonds.
The 218-room Dallas Ritz-Carlton hotel has been awarded AAA’s Five Diamond rating for 2010, after just two years of operation.
More than 58,000 hospitality properties were evaluated this year by AAA’s evaluators. Only 113 hotels in North America received AAA Five Diamonds ratings.
According to the The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, their hotel “is the only hotel in the United States to be featured on all three Cond Nast Traveler Magazine Hot Lists for 2008, including hotel, spa and restaurant categories. It is currently ranked the #1 hotel in the United States in the 2009 Zagat Survey of North American Hotels, Resorts and Spas and is also home to Home to Fearing’s, ranked America’s “Best New Restaurant” (EsquireMagazine, 2007) and the nation’s top hotel restaurant (Zagat Survey 2009).
