This Way Out: Golf in Northwest Ireland

Out here on the Northwest tip of Northern Ireland, golf in September can be hit-or-miss–hot one day, cold and rainy the next. Today, my foursome was pelted with rain, blown like sailboats caught in a hurricane, and nearly knocked over by a flock of birds hit by what must have been windshear barreling in off the Atlantic. “No Irishman would play in conditions like these,” Barnie, our caddie, told us.
