Tattoo Artist and Tuaca Rave Through Dallas on Tuaca and Ink Tour

I know zilch about tattoo,s but Tuaca makes a pretty tasty lemon drop. This was my thought when I attended Tuaca’s Drinks & Ink Dallas.  Jen, a friend who has a tattoo or two, tagged along for to check out the scene.

As tattoo and Tuaca fans trickled in to the South Side Music Hall on last weekend, performers hit the dance floor with glowing Hula-Hoops and various flying objects. It was all very rave-like, with loud house music and  bartenders mixing up Tuaca cocktails (Tuaca and cranberry , in particular, called my name – the brandy flavors paired perfectly with the tart cranberry juice. Jen opted for a Tuaca and Red Bull – too sweet for both of us).

With drinks in hand,  fans scurried to the photo wall to sit in a tattoo chair and get a snapshot with world-famous tattoo artist and star of LA Ink, Corey Miller. Surprisingly, few were tatted up.

The hands-down star of the evening, though, was DJ Ravidrums. Think percussion marching band meets live dj remixing with a pretty epic sax player.

The Drinks & Ink tour moves next to Houston, then Reno, Wichita, Denver, Colorado Springs, San Diego, Sacramento, and Baltimore.

One guest in each city wins the opportunity to have tattoo artist Corey Miller design and ink them the following day, a huge score considering he has a two year waiting list at his house of tattoo design, Six Feet Under.  I guess tattoos are no longer taboo.
