12 Cuts enters crowded Brazilian steakhouse mix with debut restaurant

A new Brazilian steakhouse from a Fogo da Chao veteran will debut in Dallas this August, offering gaucho chefs, carved meats and a traditional churrascaria dining experience.

Called 12 Cuts, the restaurant is located at 18010 Dallas Parkway in North Dallas. Owner Juarez DeConto opened the first U.S. Fogo da Chao in Addison way back in 1997. Now he’s off on his own – partnering with his wife and Dejair Zuliani to open 12 Cuts. They’re joining a crowded Dallas market of Brazilian steakhouses that includes Fogo, Boi Na Braza, Rafain, Rodizio Grill, Texas da Brazil – even Delucca Gaucho Pizza, which spins the gaucho-style steakhouse in to a pizza joint.

I’m not sure how 12 Cuts plans to differentiate itself from the others. But if you’re a fan of picanha, lombo, fraldhinha and caipirinhas, there’s always promise in a new place.
