Al Biernat’s celebrates 21st birthday with a promo collaboration with NY’s 21 Club

Dallas’ Al Biernat’s steakhouse on Oaklawn Avenue turns 21 years old this month, but instead of birthday cake, the venerable restaurant will celebrate with a month-long menu collaboration with New York’s 21 Club.

“We wanted to do something special to celebrate these past 21 years,” said Al Biernat’s ops director, Brad Fuller.

Because many of Al’s customers also frequent the 21 Club, Fuller and the New York City resto worked out a pretty cool idea: the two would feature items from each other’s menus during July. All the items are available a la carte and as part of a four-course set menu.

In New York, the 21 Club will feature a four-course set menu pulled from Al Biernat’s that includes Texas quail, Al’s Salad, sea bass and Al’s spectacular coconut cream pie, all for $102.

And Al Biernat’s Oaklawn location will offer a 21 menu that includes steak tartare, crab cakes, the “21” burger, and pstachio New York cheesecake for $95.

The specials will be available until July 31 at Al’s original Oaklawn location.
