Longtime Bishop Arts restaurant Tillman’s is closing

After a 27 year presence in Dallas’ Bishop Arts district, Tillman’s restaurant announced today that it will permanently close following after a New Year’s Eve goodbye party.

The W. Seventh Street restaurant tweaked its name several times it’s been Tillman’s Corner and Tillman’s Roadhouse but will surrender as Tillman’s Bishop Arts.

Owner Jeffrey Kollinger said in a press release announcing the closure,  “We have worked with our landlord, Jim Lake Companies, and after much discussion, we’ve decided not to continue our lease here in Bishop Arts.

“We have been so honored to serve Bishop Arts diners, and are looking forward to sharing Tillman’s again in 2020.”

The restaurant will remain open for its normal business hours through December 31, when it will host a special prix fixe menu for New Year’s Eve (details below). Between December 24 and December 31, Tillman’s will serve a free order of their popular S’Mores to each table dining in the restaurant.
