Six chefs team up for a Dec. 3 dinner at Macellaio to showcase sustainable seafood, raise money for fisherman

Sustainable seafood is the theme for a Dec. 3 multi-course dinner at Macellaio that will also benefit a Louisiana fisherman.

Chefs Josh Sutcliff and David Uygur will host the event, which they’re calling an annual “Dallas SeaChange Dinner Series.” Participating chefs include Uygur (Lucia, Macellaio), Sutcliff, Misti Norris (Petra & the Beast), Sebastien Archambault  (Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek), Jeramie Robison (City Hall Bistro), and Joel Orsini (Allevare).

Each chef will create a course with a different fish based on what’s available to them that day.

The $100++ per person dinner will also offer optional $45 sake and wine pairings.

The series will spotlight small fishermen who fish sustainably. Proceeds from this dinner will help Captain Sean Heverin defray needed capital expenses. Heverin is an independent fisherman from Leesville, Louisiana who fishes using long-line methods, shorter times at sea and the best icing practices (resulting in higher quality fish).

Seats are limited, with two seatings, at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Reservations and tickets are available through www.macellaiodallas.com
