DFW restaurants are all closed – though plenty are still delivering the good stuff to your car, office or home. Here’s what happened when we took Mesero for a test run

Though I didn’t press for a frozen margarita or even a bottle of tequila to-go (next time…), there’s no way I wanted to hunker down another day without Mesero’s excellent mole enchiladas and their carnitas tacos. Even though all restaurants in DFW are closed for eat-in dining, plenty – including Mesero’s six DFW locations – remain open to cure a hankering for pick-up enchiladas, tacos, carne asada and (maybe) margaritas.

Mesero’s curbside pick-up was easy, and I appreciated that they included some chips and salsa to snack on for the drive home.  Of course, Mesero isn’t the only pick-up or delivery option, but they’re the only one I might dare ask for a margarita to-go (the answer: “not today, but maybe tomorrow if the law changes”).

Mesero is a favorite. If I’d been nearby, I would’ve happily ordered from Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse, TJ’s Fresh Seafood Market & Grill, Grace, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, Haywire, Hot Box Biscuit Club, Knife Dallas, Zoli’s NY Pizza, Bob’s Steak & Chop House on Lemmon Ave., Beto & Son at Trinity Groves, Muchacho Tex Mex, Sevy’s, Malai Kitchen, Tromp Tacos, or Gemma Restaurant. Please consider pick-up or delivery from a restaurant near you. They could use the help.
