Texas governor says restaurant patios can 100% open right now

Texas governor Greg Abbott clarified (revised?) his pandemic restaurant restrictions at his May 5 press conference that allows Texas restaurants to open 100 percent of their patio seats as long as social distancing is observed.

While the seating capacity limit of 25% occupancy continues to apply in indoor dining rooms, it does not apply to outdoor seating, provided that distancing requirements are followed.

Abbott said it was still too soon to reopen bars. Last week, Abbott said alcohol-to-go orders may continue and suggested he may permit it permanently.
