Mexican Sugar debuts in Las Colinas with 150 tequilas, big patio, Latin America cuisine
Who’s crazy enough to open a sparkly new $8 million restaurant right now – in the heat of a Texas summer while staff have to wear masks and customers need to physical distance?
Jack Gibbons, Randy DeWitt, Tim Timbs, Bryan McVay, Judd Fruia, Justin Beam and the other crazy-smart folks at FrontBurner Restaurant group, who also thought to equip their new Mexican Sugar restaurant in Las Colinas with a huge shaded patio, stock the bars with 150 different tequilas, and design a menu of reasonably priced dishes that romp across all of Latin America.
The dining room opens next Tuesday, but I had an early VIPeek. Here’s what the place looks and sounds like >
