Mallow Box brings gourmet chocolate marshmallows to Legacy Hall
A new gourmet confection shop will sell an array of sweet, fluffy desserts to Legacy Hall, the Plano food hall, beginning August 10.
Mallow Box specializes in from-scratch marshmallows, which owner Martha Ware makes on site and sells alongside s’mores, shakes and hot chocolate drinks. It’s the second location for the Plano-based Mallow Box, which also operates at The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano.
Marshmallow flavors include peppermint, cinnamon, salted caramel, lemon, raspberry, coffee, chocolate and cream cookie, and strawberry and cream cookie. Customers can also build their own s’mores skewers and add a variety of sauces and toppings.
Mallow Box refreshes its menu each season; right now, Ware says the featured summer items are her Piña Colada Milkshake (vanilla ice cream, toasted plain mallow, piña colada mallow, pretzel stick, pineapple, coconut flakes, pineapple and coconut sauces, sprinkles) and the Banana Mallow Split (one scoop of vanilla ice cream, two small scoops of marshmallow fluff, banana, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, a cherry and sprinkles).
“When we were searching for an additional dessert option to bring to Legacy Hall, Martha’s marshmallow and s’mores concept immediately impressed us with its playful take on one of America’s favorite desserts,” said Kulsoom Klavon, a VP at Legacy Hall’s parent company, Food Hall Co.
