Fogo de Chão has added a prime porterhouse steak to its full churrasco experience! But just for a limited time
Fogo de Chão has added a prime porterhouse steak to its full churrasco dinners, which means the already elevated dining experience just got better.
If you’re wondering how the whole roaming gaucho waiter service thing translates in the current climate of physical distancing, we’re pleased to report that Fogo hasn’t missed a beat. Masked gauchos still circle the dining room with skewers of meats. The enormous salad station remains intact, though masked servers escort you around the line and fill the plates for you. The craft cocktails are still as good as ever, too. And that porterhouse? It’s fantastic – an unbeatable bargain now that it’s included in the cost of the full-on meals, which already offered a substantial array of meats.
We loved that we could elevate the meal even further by also ordering an upgrade: a prime, dry-aged NY strip steak. Fogo dry-ages prime steaks from Stockyards on-site for at least 21 days. It’s a solid luxury for those wanting top-quality steak. (We prefer Allen Brothers steaks over Stockyards, but we’re not in charge.)
If you’re uneasy about eating inside a restaurant, Fogo’s Legacy West location in Plano has a stellar outdoor patio with good breezes, plenty of physical distancing and comfortable seating; that’s where we sat to check out the new offerings as Fogo’s guests last week.
If you’ve hesitated to dine our or revisit Fogo, their outdoor patio, new porterhouse steak addition and Fogo’s adherence to upgraded sanitation and physical distancing guidelines are good reasons to visit (or revisit) right now.
