Former Sevy’s chef Eric Freidline heads to splashy new Monarch restaurant at The National in downtown Dallas


Talented chef Eric Freidline sends word that he’s landed a sweet gig in downtown Dallas.

The former Sevy’s chef will help lead the kitchen at Monarch, high atop the new National hotel/residential/retail high rise, where he’ll be former Oprah chef Eric Dreyer’s sous chef and right-hand man.

Until last week, Freidline had been working with Misti Norris at her Dallas restaurant Petra and the Beast.

“I can’t wait to show it off,” says Freidline. “It’s going to be one of a kind in Dallas.“ Monarch is currently slated to open on March 3.
