NYC’s Carbone’s owners opening their fabulous SoHo brunch resto Sadelle’s in Dallas

Expect a press release to confirm the news in the next few days, but NYC’s Major Food Group plans to bring their brunch-centric Sadelle’s to Dallas later this year or early 2022. We hear the lease should be inked later this week for Sadelle’s to take over the 5,000-ish square foot Royal Blue Grocery spot in Highland Park Village. I’m told the specialty goods store will exit in June.
Major Food Group is making a major push into Dallas. In addition to Sadelle’s, the tony (and pricy) restaurateurs are making quick progress on readying a Dallas Design District location of their Carbone (it’s expected to open this fall) fancy red-sauce Italian resto and an adjacent (and unannounced) casual cafe; both take over the now-closed duo of Wheelhouse and Sassetta.
Dallas is gonna love Sadelle’s. The restaurant opens early and serves from-scratch New York City-style bagels plus classics like sliced-to-order salmon and sturgeon, chopped salads, benedicts, blintzes and incredible pastries (including sticky buns and babka) from a roaming pink pastry cart.
Don’t want to wait for the Dallas location to open? Head to the Bellagio in Las Vegas, where Sadelle’s commands the A-position facing the conservatory.
