Chicken Scratch & The Foundry have a new owner, new concept on the way

Announced over social media, Oak Cliff’s outdoor fried chicken and live music emporium Chicken Scratch/The Foundry will reopen this fall with a new owner and a tweaked concept.

“We are STOKED to announce that The Foundry / Chicken Scratch is currently being re-imagined and will soon reopen under new management and new ownership early this fall! Like many in the community,” read the message on the restaurants’ Facebook home page. The new owner? Shane Spillers, who also owns the nearby Eno’s Pizza Tavern.

“Shane Spillers loved this place before it closed and can’t wait to throw the doors back open after a little refresh of the space,” the announcement continued.
“We want your input and memories! What were your favorite things about this place? Favorite food? Pictures of good times? Share them with us below! We look forward to welcoming you, your loved ones, pets and friends to YOUR Neighborhood Backyard!”

Have suggestions for the revamp? Let Spillers know.
