Creators of Twisted Root and Truck Yard debuts new Fort Worth country music & beer hall
The creators of Twister Root Burger Co. and the Truck Yard are taking another run at outdoor fun. Restaurateur Jason Boso and his team at Brain Storm Shelter will debut their newest venture, Second Rodeo Brewing, on Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Ft. Worth Stockyards.
The brewery and outdoor biergarten will offer both beer and food (cheese steaks, wings, burgers) plus Outlaw Country music in a dog-friendly setting with a double-sided fireplace, porch swings and a back patio.
“The beer is cold, food is great, live music at all hours and tons of patio space – it’s everything that creates a perfect day in Texas,” Boso said. “We’re pumped to have a spot at the Stockyards – and share a place for families and folks of all ages to enjoy the roots of this historic area. We’re celebrating Texas – ‘the way Hank would’ve done it.’”
The 14,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose event space at Mule Alley centers on the in-house brewery with a rotation of beers led by brewmaster Dennis Wehrmann.
“We made it a goal to make great beer without the pretentious, craft attitude. The Second Rodeo lineup boasts a flavor profile of truly Texas mainstays, with room for fun rotational flavors, all served straight from the barrel onsite,” Wehrmann said.
The ‘Bar Garden’ sits in the enclosed patio with a retractable roof and includes an entertainment stage, small dance floor and creative seating throughout.
Three sets of live music every day will include western swing, Texas Blues, old school country and outlaw country. Private events can be booked in an upstairs Folsom prison-inspired dining hall.
Second Rodeo Brewing is open daily except Mondays.
