Dallas chef Sharon Van Meter opens a South Dallas charmer with the debut of Beckley 1115

She’s refurbished the old house that formerly housed Victor Hugo’s and, before that, Campo, so the space may look familiar.
“She’s an old lady,” Van Meter said. “So she sags a bit, but what do you expect” for 100-year-old home with a bit of makeup?
It’s a great addition to the neighborhood, where it’ll be easy to pop in for a sandwich, maybe a bowl of tomato soup and a shrimp Poboy.
Even better, though? Head there for her slow-roasted heirloom carrots with pretty radishes, amped up with just the right amount of harissa.
