Farm + Feed, a gaming-focused restaurant and bar, now open in Plano

, a gaming-themed restaurant, bar,and social space, has opened in the Shops at Legacy in Plano. Video and traditional board games are the calling cards, paired with food and beverages to give novice and experienced gamers an all-in-one place eat, drink and play, according to a news release.

“Our name is a play on words that refers to gaming terms,” Farm + Feed owner Max Seel said in the release. “Farming is when you repeatedly defeat an opponent and farm them for resources, while feeding is the opposite when you lose and give up your resources.”

The restaurant/bar now occupies the former Gordon Biersch brewpub. The 8,000-sf space incorporates distinct areas:

  • The “Village” has 18 high-tech gaming PCs, 20 booths with two 55-inch TVs, a Nintendo Switch and either an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, plus four controllers.
  • The “Library” has sci-fi books and 16 more PCs with 6 couches
  • The “Bunker” is for larger groups to play classic video games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. It also features a private space for 10 people with a 77-inch TV with a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5 and Xbox X.

Farm + Feed’s menu is gamer food: Flamin’ Hot Cheetos corn cheese balls, pizza rolls, bao brisket buns and grilled pork lettuce wraps. The restaurant and bar are open from 11 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends but closed on Tuesdays.
