BBQ guru Aaron Franklin and Uchi guy Tyson Cole headline new DFW charity fundraiser grazer
Here’s your chance to mix and mingle with BBQ guru Aaron Franklin and Uchi founder Tyson Cole, plus the chefs behind Meridian in the Village, Cry Wolf and Mot Hai Ba, Sfuzzi and Sundown at the Granada. They’ll all be on hand for the new Jewel of Dallas Gala. The evening fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 13 benefits The White Rock Lake Foundation which supports the maintenance and improvement of 110-year-old White Rock Lake (they’re calling the lake “the Jewel of Dallas”).
The new charity event takes place at the Granada Theater from 7:00PM-10:00 PM with VIP cocktails at 6, and live entertainment from Ricki Derek and his 15-piece band.
The Jewel of Dallas Gala evening will feature six East Dallas chef stations, craft cocktails, a silent and live auction. Participating restaurants and chefs:
• Môt Hai Ba – Chef Peja Krstic
• Sfuzzi – Chef Irwin
• Cry Wolf – Chef Ross Demers
• Sundown at Granada – Chef Michael
• Meridian in The Village – Chef Junior Borges
• LORO – Chef Tyson Cole and Chef Aaron Franklin
The ducks and geese are not on the menu.
The White Rock Lake Foundation serves as a unified advocacy group that says it works closely with the Dallas Park and Recreation Department on long-term planning and design, and spearheads private fundraising efforts.
