Incredible burgers, shakes and Double Zero Margaritas arrive in Grapevine today with the debut of Son of a Butcher lol

Moooo…

Son of a Butcher, a popular slider shop with locations in Plano and Dallas, has opened its first location in Tarrant County — and it’s fabulous. We got a VIPeek with SOB’s director of operations Tim Timbs and came away mighty impressed.

The restaurant, the third for the Dallas-based concept, is located at 480 Texas 114 West in Grapevine, next to a Velvet Taco.

SOB specializes in sliders elevated with bold flavors, waffle fries smothered in crazy good ingredients, and classic shakes with mix-ins, all served in a casual, retro atmosphere. The Grapevine location also sells zero-sugar, zero net-carb “Double Zero” Margaritas.

SOB’s core menu includes a half-dozen different slider burgers, including a classic option and a brisket “burnt ends” burger with barbecue sauce and Gouda. Other unique options include a slider with peanut butter, bacon, and blackberry jam, as well as a “Texas Hot” fried chicken slider with pimiento cheese and another with Buffalo chicken and blue cheese.

Those burgers are all built on A Bar N Ranch’s locally-raised, organic Wagyu beef and come on a Martin’s potato bun. Guests can dine in-restaurant or on the patio, order online for pickup at sobsliders.com or get SOB delivered to their doorstep via Grubhub, DoorDash and Uber Eats.

FB Society, the Dallas-based company that owns Son of a Butcher, also created other popular concepts in the Dallas area such as Whiskey Cake, Mexican Sugar, Haywire, Sixty Vines, Ida Claire, and The Ranch in Las Colinas. Two additional Son of a Butcher locations are in the next works – one in north Fort Worth at 2828 North Tarrant Parkway and another not-yet-announced spot along the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco.
