Introducing the latest addition to the culinary scene in Texas – Woody’s Hamburgers. And let’s just say it’s about to become your new obsession

Could the best smash burgers in the state now come from somewhere deep in the heart of Texas?

Hamilton — far southwest of Fort Worth–  is where you’ll find Woody’s Hamburgers, a new burger joint from Clint and Kim Cooper, the husband-and-wife bakers behind Village Baking Co. in Dallas.

But this time, the Coopers are flipping patties instead of baking pastries.

The Coopers and their kids have revamped an old gas station in Hamilton, blending nostalgia with modern-day flair. But let’s get to the good stuff – the burgers. These aren’t your average burgers; they’re smash burgers made with locally sourced beef that’s ground fresh daily. And boy, they sure could be worth the drive.

The must-try is the signature Woody’s burger. Griddled with dark, lacy edges and oozing with cheese, pickles, and a tangy secret sauce that Clint says is so addictive it could rival Village’s famous kouign-amann pastries. And at just $7, you’ll be hooked after just one bite.

Yes, there are fries and cold beers, but nothing pairs better with a burger than a bottle of champagne if you’re feeling fancy.

So if you’re planning a road trip south of DFW this summer, put Woody’s is on the itinerary. The official opening is on Saturday, May 6th, and we suggest you mark it in your calendar.
