Allen gets a brash new steakhouse with the opening of Andreas Steakhouse

, a new restaurant in Allen, is set to open on July 31 at 610 West Bethany Road. The restaurant is the led by chef Andreas Kotsifos, a seasoned culinary expert and, for a short time, a former chef at The Palm Steakhouse in downtown Dallas.

A native of Greece, Kotsifos’ menu at Andreas reflects his seafood and steak background. No word on where he sources his NY Strip steaks, ribeyes or filets, or whether they are graded USDA prime or choice, but surf and turf options are broad. A raw bar will offer caviar service.

Other seafood options include bouillabaisse, Chilean sea bass, Verlasso salmon, diver scallops, and lobster Thermidor. Rolling flambé carts will offer classic dishes like Steak Diane, Bananas Foster, and Baked Alaska with tableside presentations. You don’t see lobster Thermador or flambe carts much in these parts, so that’s worth a visit on its own. You can check out the rest of the menu here, but prices aren’t listed.

I haven’t walked the space, though images on their website like the one above show the decor includes peacocks, geese, white tablecloths, banquets, pretty glassware and an exposed, unfinished ceiling.  Hmmm.
