Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Dallas to Permanently Close Its Doors After 40 Years of Service

Lawry’s The Prime Rib, a 40-year-old Dallas steakhouse north of Addison, will close in March. A company spokesman says the owner of the building decided not to renew the lease. Dallas real estate experts told EscapeHatch they’ve been quietly shopping the space to potential new tenants for more than a year.

In a prepared statement, Ryan O’Melveny Wilson, CEO of Lawry’s Restaurants Inc., expressed his gratitude to the Dallas community and dedicated staff for their outpouring of support throughout the last four decades.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Lawry’s in Dallas,” said Wilson. “As we enter the fourth generation of our family-owned business, our unwavering commitment to growth and the enduring relevance of our 85-year-old brand remains. While one chapter closes, new doors are opening as we direct efforts on domestic and international expansion, bringing our timeless concept to new cities around the world.”
