Always wanted to own a restaurant? Good-for-you resto HG Sply Co. seeking small investors for new Fort Worth outpost

UNCO Restaurant Group is expanding its better-for-you HG Sply Co. restaurant to Fort Worth. The popular neighborhood restaurant and bar has secured a spot at Alliance Town Center, taking over the space which previously housed The Rock Wood-Fired Kitchen and later, Tap-In Grill & Pub. The restaurant is slated to open later this year.

Elias Pope, the founder of HG Sply Co., launched the first establishment on Greenville Avenue in Dallas in 2013. Since then, the brand has grown to include locations in Fort Worth’s WestBend and Trophy Club. The restaurant is renowned for its inclusive menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including paleo, low-carb, gluten-free, and vegan options.

The 8,000 square foot location will feature an interior seating capacity for 220 guests, an open-concept kitchen, a bar on the second floor, and a spacious, tiered patio that can accommodate an additional 108 patrons.

In anticipation of its opening, HG Alliance is presenting a unique crowd-funding initiative, inviting the community to invest in the restaurant. The business is seeking to raise $1.2 million. Investors can invest as little as $500. In return, they will receive perks such as points redeemable for food and beverage, invitations to exclusive events, and free meals for the rest of 2024. The company is projected to open in Q4 of 2024.

Investors are also invited to atttend investors-only events, including one for HG Alliance, and can earn additional rewards like complimentary queso for life or having a bar named in their honor. For those investing $5,000 or more, HG Sply Co. offers the perk of free meals—lunch and dinner entrees—for a defined period of time.
