You Need This: Golf Gear for Christmas
Golf is a strange sport. Go ahead–try to think of any other that you can play from a motorized vehicle while drinking beer, eating hot dogs, and betting on crazy things with names like sandies and greenies.
Once the weather turns soupy, though, most golfers head inside. I do, too, except if I’m in Wales. Or Scotland. Or Portland. Or working on a story in Ireland, which is why I ordered this rain gear from Sun Mountain.
Last month, Sun Mountain’s new HD Rainflex jacket ($210) and pants ($180, sunmountain.com) saved the trip. Rain, sleet, hail, straight-line winds—even the mailmen refused to go out. But I did.
The wintry mix was no match for HD rain gear, with its heavy-duty zippers, waterproof seams, storm flaps, and stretchy, breathable fabric.
Like my American Express card, I don’t plan to leave home again without it.
