Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse brings high class bbq, prime Pappas Bros. steaks to Plano in new upscale restaurant
The family behind Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse and Pappasito’s Cantina has opened Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse, an upscale Texas roadhouse serving low-and-slow barbecue, Gulf seafood, prime steaks and craft cocktails. Fans of each of those Pappas concepts will likely recognize some elements of each on Delta Blues dishes, from Pappasito’s queso to the same prime beef used at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse (though the steaks at Delta Blues are wet aged and served without the trappings of a 33,000-bottle wine cellar and fine-dining service, which means Delta Blues’ steaks are also less expensive).
The Hatch HQ staff got a VIP preview peek last week. Click on the video above to take a walk around with us.
Though the prime briskets, housemade jalapeño and cheese sausages, pulled pork, and pork belly are slow-cooked overnight over post oak and hickory in Oyler smokers, Delta Blues isn’t your cafeteria-style, plastic-tray BBQ joint.
In addition to sit-down service and craft cocktails, you’ll find maple glazed salmon, fried chicken, deviled eggs topped with bacon, chicken gumbo, big salads, fried green tomatoes and a killer wine list with reasonably priced bottles.
The restaurant opens September 17 at 3916 Dallas Parkway in Plano. Questions? Ring them at (972) 378-9903 or ping them at pappasdeltablues.com.
