Popeye’s fried chicken sandwich returns to just a handful of stores – here’s how to see if yours is among them

If you’ve been jonesing for Popeye’s fried chicken sandwich, which was pulled from menus nearly as fast as it was introduced two months ago, you’ll be able to order it again next month. But there’s a caveat.

The crispy fried bird sando, which debuted to thousands of tweets, long queues, and even an assault in Houston, relaunches on November 3 in 150 restos — less than 4% of Popeye’s stores. The good news for us? DFW stores are among those fortunate percenters.

The 150 locations are operated by a franchisee called Sun Holdings Inc., according to Bloomberg. Popeye’s says they’re beefing up staff at those stores to handle the expected demand.
