Fort Worth’s best BBQ has opened a glossy new Dallas outpost
Big congratulations to Emma and Travis Heim on the opening of their first Dallas Heim Barbecue outpost.
Heim Barbecue – Mockingbird marks the couple’s third location for their successful Fort Worth barbecue operation. The all-day restaurant debuts today in the former Mockingbird Diner space across from Love Field airport.
Heim fans will find a familiar menu at the new location, including early morning breakfast tacos, the stellar Heim cheeseburger, made-to-order corn dogs. The brisket, sausage and giant beef ribs at the new location are smoked in two Oyler pits out back – and the meats are as good as at the original Heim Barbecue in Fort Worth.
As much as I adore their bacon burnt ends and BBQ, it’s Heim’s side dishes (especially their green chile mac & cheese) that will cripple a diet like Kryponite.
