TV chef David Chang opens fried chicken ghost kitchen in Dallas

David Chang’s Fuku, a casual fried chicken joint that debuted as a NYC pop-up, will be available in Dallas beginning April 6 as part of a delivery-only ghost kitchen concept that Chang is expanding to include Dallas.

The clucky sando is constructed with a soft Martin’s potato bun and a habanero-brined fried chicken breast.

Is it any good? I haven’t tried it, but other than his bo ssam pork and slow-roasted duck, I haven’t found much that’s swoon-worthy at his other restaurants.

The Fuku ghost kitchen makes a tight array of sandwiches, chicken fingers and waffle fries. The menu is delivery only, available through Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub.

“Our Spicy Fried Chicken Sando is made with a habanero brined chicken breast, dripping with Fuku mayo, topped with some crisp pickles, and held together by a Martin’s potato roll,” decries the Fuku website.

In addition to Chang’s Dallas intro, Fuku is available for delivery in Houston, Baltimore, Washington DC, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Philadelphia.

“We’re thrilled to let our Texan fans know we’re finally making our way to the Lone Star State,” said Alex Munoz-Suarez, CEO of Fuku. “Through this delivery-only model, we’re able to introduce Fuku to Dallas and Houston in a safe and controlled way, allowing Fuku fans to enjoy it from the comfort of home.”
