Addison’s Independence Day Kaboom Town jumps the gun with July 3 celebration

If you’re ready to celebrate July 4, the city of Addison plans to welcome you a day early with fireworks and a flyover.

Addison Kaboom Town!, delivered by Gopuff, plans a 25-minute fireworks show choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack that will be radio simulcast across the 4.4-square-mile town. The event, centered around Addison Circle Park, is free. The annual air show that precedes the fireworks has expanded into a flyover across Addison.

While general admission tickets to Addison Circle Park itself sold out within two hours, guaranteed park tickets are still available to those who book an Addison Kaboom Town hotel package. Packages start below $90, and include your room, six tickets to the park and a commemorative blanket.

Kaboom Town Watch Parties will pick up the overflow at several Addison restaurants and businesses. The list of watch parties is updated regularly; some require reservations.
